Officite has built more than 6000 dental and medical web sites.
Marketing a dental practice can be accomplished in a variety of ways—through direct mail, advertising in local newspapers and magazines, and with a web presence. Officite, located in Illinois, is a provider of customized web sites and marketing tools for both the medical and dental community. According to Officite, there are currently over 3600 dentists and doctors who are using Officite’s services to help build and grow their practices.
For this evaluation, we invited 4 dentists who have never worked with Officite before to participate. We also invited 5 of Officite’s current customers to answer some questions about their experiences with the company. We combined the responses from these 2 groups to give you a sense of what Officite has to offer. We asked the evaluators to answer questions about customer service, ease of web site set up, and practice growth.
Customer Service
We asked both groups of evaluators to rate Officite’s customer service. Two of the new customers rated the customer service as excellent, and 2 rated it as very good. Among the current customers, all 5 rated the customer service as excellent. One of the current customers said of the customer service, “Honestly, we never have needed it unless we are making changes. If you count that, then it’s a 5.” One of the new customers described the customer service as “excellent.”
Quality of Pre-sale Process and Organization
We asked the new customers who participated in the evaluation to rate Officite’s pre-sale process and organization. Two evaluators rated it as excellent, 1 rated it as very good, and 1 rated it as good. One of the evaluators described the pre-sale process and organization as “outstanding.”
Return on Investment and Practice Growth
The 5 current customers who participated in the evaluation were asked to rate their return on investment( ROI) and the practice growth they feel they’ve achieved through their websites. With regard to ROI, 4 evaluators rated Officite as excellent and 1 rated it as good. When asked about practice growth, 4 evaluators rated Officite as excellent and 1 rated it as good. One evaluator said, “I would do it again tomorrow, and in this economy even more so.” This same evaluator said, “I don’t see hundreds of patients come in from this, but no question, at least 5 a month, which to me is an added bonus.”
Ease of Website Set-up Process
The 4 new customers were asked to evaluate the website set-up process. Two evaluators rated it as excellent, 1 rated it as very good, and 1 rated it as good. One evaluator said, “It has been a bit confusing, especially trying to do it all online, but I’ve been on the phone with them, and they have been able to walk me through it.” Another evaluator said, “The process requires time and effort, but it’s fairly simple.”
Overall Satisfaction
When the new customers were asked if they would continue working with Officite in the future, 3 said probably and 1 said he wasn’t sure. When the current customers were asked the same questions, all 5 said definitely. When asked if they would recommend Officite to their colleagues, 4 of the current customers said definitely and 1 said probably. Among the new customers, 3 said they would definitely or probably recommend Officite and 1 said he wasn’t sure. At the end of the evaluation, all of the evaluators were asked to give their overall satisfaction rating. One of the new customers rated Officite as excellent and 3 rated it as very good. All of the current customers gave an overall satisfaction rating of excellent.
