An Elegant Way to Restore
Natural Elegance Premium Composite combines the best of both worlds—quality and affordability—while offering exceptional esthetics and a long-lasting shine
Dentists are all too familiar with brand-name dental products that tout a long list of perks and promises. While most are smart enough to look beyond the hype of product marketing, it can be challenging to weed out the best from the rest—especially in the crowded category of restorative materials.
“I’m not someone who absolutely needs a ‘name brand’ product,” said Dr. Clara Lee, “as long as it does what I need it to do.” A perfect case in point for Dr. Lee is Henry Schein’s Natural Elegance Premium Composite, a universal composite that’s easy to handle, place, and polish. "If a product is better overall than what I'm currently using, I'm sold," she added.
“I like the shades and ease of placement. It polishes nicely, too.”

An Elegant & Economical Composite
Recently put to the test by a team of DPS evaluators, Natural Elegance Premium Composite is suited for both posterior and anterior fillings. Featuring a unique combination of photo initiators that provide ideal shade predictability, it earned high marks during its review period thanks to a variety of factors—including its sculptability, curing time, ease of polishing, and final esthetics.
Jodi Lampert, DDS, recently tried Natural Elegance Premium Composite in her Littleton, CO, practice. The material performed so well for her that she’s been using it ever since. Calling it a solid, dependable composite, what she appreciates most about the material are its “beautiful” esthetics. “I like the shades and ease of placement. It polishes nicely, too,” she shared.
Available in syringes in 8 shades and capsules in 11 shades, Natural Elegance Premium Composite offers a long-lasting shine with no significant color change before and after light curing. A Spheroidal Zircon Silicate filler gives the material maximum brightness and wear resistance.
“I have been using Natural Elegance Premium Composite for several months now and I’m very happy with it,” shared Dr. Raymond Lee of Boca Raton, FL. “I use it for nearly every composite filling that needs to be done, especially in the anterior because it blends so well. The color is just right—not too opaque and with the perfect translucency. I love it, and my patients love it too.”
Dr. Lee also appreciates that the composite is easy to handle. “It is so creamy and soft but holds its shape well and flows easily into the cavity prep,” he shared. “It is an excellent product that makes composite filling so much easier and more predictable.”
Wickliffe, OH, clinician Dr. Cary Goldstein agrees. “Handling properties are very good. It is nonsticky, does not slump where you place it, and can be easily molded where you want it,” he shared. “This is a very good product in the very crowded, competitive field of universal composites. It also offers the benefit of being at a lower price point than many of the available similar composites and should not be discounted as a great universal composite option for everyday use.”
The Natural Elegance Restoratives portfolio also includes a flowable nanocomposite, flowable and packable bulk fills, and total-etch, selfetch, and universal bonding agents. All materials are designed for optimal results at an affordable price point.
Maxima PRO 2AR: Power and Performance
Before it’s time to dial up the esthetics with Natural Elegance Restoratives, it’s prep time. For that, many dentists turn to the Maxima PRO 2AR handpiece, which is specifically designed for aerosol reduction and antiretraction. The high-speed, air-driven handpiece, which earned the DPS Recommended Product badge, controls airborne particle emissions and prevents suck-back of fluids and particles, reducing the risk of crosscontamination in air and water lines.
At 20 W of power, the Maxima PRO 2AR handpiece does not skimp on cutting performance, as noted by several DPS evaluators during its review period. “I always want to cut as efficiently as possible to save time and prevent undue trauma to the tooth,” said Robin Henderson, DDS. “This handpiece is an excellent value with better power, torque, and access in the oral cavity than any of my other handpieces.”
Calling it the quietest air-driven handpiece he has ever used, Richard Siegel, DDS, of Marco Island, FL, told DPS he planned to buy several Maxima PRO 2AR handpieces after his trial period was complete. “I can work fast with this handpiece. Torque is also very important to me, and the torque of this one is unmatchable,” he added.
