Dental professionals worldwide choose DentalXP for its unique live events and online learning
From the start of his career, Dr. Nilesh Salgar has been an advocate of learning, always eager to expand his expertise and improve his practice. A general dentist with a successful practice in Montreal, Canada, he has furthered his skill set on topics from implants to endodontics, restorative dentistry to veneers, or as he terms it, "the whole spectrum, from A to Z."
Throughout his comprehensive professional journey, people would ask him if he’d ever been to DentalXP, which had grown from an online community with cutting-edge content to include a series of live events and symposia delivering top-tier education in an inclusive, family-centered environment. “People kept saying to me, ‘You have to go to DentalXP. You’ll love it,’” Dr. Salgar recalled. In 2018, he did just that. “They were right,” he said.
DentalXP events, including its annual Global Symposium, bring together leading educators at the forefront of the evolution in esthetic, implant, and digital reconstructive therapy. In addition to traditional courses, a wide variety of hands-on workshops allow clinicians the opportunity to enhance their learning experience. Beyond education, DentalXP is a celebration of community, personal growth, and the power of connections in the world of dentistry.
For Dr. Salgar, attending that first DentalXP event was not only a learning experience, but also a chance to interact with doctors he’d long admired, especially Dr. Maurice Salama. “I got to meet people I had always looked at as mentors,” he said. “You’d find that the doctors teaching there were the ones who authored a textbook on your shelf or an article you read online.” These educators were not just there to teach, but to learn from each other and spend time networking and having fun with new and old friends.
“There are a lot of great associations out there. But DentalXP focuses on being all-inclusive, meaning everyone is welcome no matter where they are in their career," said Dr. Salgar. "That doesn’t mean other associations aren’t inclusive; there’s just a different feel at DentalXP. It’s like family.”
Over time, Dr. Salgar himself became a presenter, having amassed 30 years of experience, accreditations, and passing what he described as a live-surgery “working interview.”
For those wondering if DentalXP is for them, Dr. Salgar noted that the curriculum caters to all levels of experience. “If you’ve never placed an implant before, go to DentalXP. If you’re placing a hundred implants a year, go to DentalXP. Even if you’ve placed a thousand implants, you’ll still pick up pearls of wisdom,” he said.
