Cutting-Edge Education at Global Symposium

A host of dentistry's leading "Xpert" clinicians will descend upon Las Vegas to address critical topics in advanced esthetic and implant education

Alina Krivitsky, DDS, remembers the first time she attended a DentalXP event. A practitioner and lecturer focused on periodontics, soft- and hard-tissue augmentation, and implants, she was struck both by the familial atmosphere and self-motivation of those convened for the implant summit at New York University.

“It was such an incredible network of really motivated people who wanted to learn procedures and become better clinicians,” said Dr. Krivitsky, who also teaches at the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry of USC. Having seen many dentists limit their education to only what’s required over the years, DentalXP was a refreshing change. “Every single person there is hungry to learn more, and everyone is supporting each other to become better.”

That atmosphere is one of the reasons Dr. Krivitsky is excited about the DentalXP Global Symposium slated for July in Las Vegas. The action-packed program will focus on advanced esthetic and implant solutions in modern practice. An assembly of leading clinicians and educators at the forefront of esthetic, implant and digital reconstructive therapy will speak on topics including enhancements to single, full-arch restorations; innovations in maxillary expansion; soft-tissue management; and new prosthetic protocols.

"It's just a group of people willing to teach and learn—from the basics all the way up to advanced techniques.”

- Alexandre Aalam, DDS

Speakers include Drs. Maurice Salama, Henry Salama, David Garber, Howard Gluckman, and a host of dental “Xperts.” The husband-and-wife team of Dr. Krivitsky and Dr. Alexandre Aalam, both diplomates of the American Board of Periodontology and American Board of Oral Implantology, will lead a session on understanding bone grafting in implant dentistry.

Dr. Aalam describes DentalXP as an inclusive community that welcomes clinicians of all ages, backgrounds, and skill levels. The education can benefit everyone from less-experienced clinicians to experts in the field seeking to master a technique. The hands-on learning, live lectures, and access to online courses all play a role in helping dentists successfully apply what they’ve learned in practice.

The symposium—to be held July 13–16 at the M Resort Spa Casino—will include 2 days of hands-on workshops bookending 2 days of courses, as well as networking. “Going to a DentalXP event is like going to a family reunion,” Dr. Krivitsky said. “People come from all over the world, and everyone is so excited to be there and to see each other and catch up.

”In Dr. Aalam’s view, every dentist should experience a DentalXP event at least once. “It's just a group of people willing to teach and learn—from the basics all the way up to advanced techniques and fine-tuning specific types of procedures so that you can become an expert yourself.”
