A product of over 2 decades of dental software development, DentiMax Flow combines seamless cloud accessibility with a powerful, friendly interface

Twenty years ago, DentiMax was founded to fill a void in the dental world by developing two innovative and affordable solutions: practice management software that was easy to use and intraoral sensors that produced high-quality x-rays. Over the years, those products have helped countless practices flourish and have earned industry-wide recognition, including two of the highest scores in the history of Dental Product Shopper product reviews.

Throughout, DentiMax has remained focused on innovation, improving and expanding their portfolio to help dental practices increase their productivity and profitability. During their first-ever Dental Tech Summit, held recently in Mesa, AZ, company representatives explored the company's journey and mission and, through a series of engaging discussions, took a deep dive into the latest in practice management and imaging solutions.

“We are forward-thinking and are always looking at the future,” Lee Varney, CTO and co-founder along with David Arnett, president, told those gathered.

That future has arrived with their latest innovation: DentiMax Flow, an innovative browser-based practice management software designed to transform the way dental practices operate. Built to meet the dynamic needs of modern dental offices, DentiMax Flow makes the practice's entire software suite—including appointments, patient records, billing, reports, SMS, documents, and more—available on any device, virtually anywhere in the world. There is nothing to download or install.

“It’s accessible anywhere you have the internet,” said Alicia Dieujuste, managing director, DentiMax Software, who noted the freedom provided by cloud software over traditional server-based systems. Users can access the platform via smartphones, Macs, PCs, tablets, and any other device that has a web browser.

Another advantage of DentiMax Flow is its scalability, with no limit to the number of users. Dieujuste noted that even a large DSO would benefit from the software and the ability for employees at all locations to log in and work together in a seamless way.

Efficient Workflows with User-Friendly Design

It’s also easy to learn, with a user-friendly design allowing for effortless completion of complex tasks like sending claims with attachments, digital referrals, and billing. The insightful dashboard provides KPIs in real time and facilitates your front- and back-office workflow in a way that mirrors your patient experience.

“If you can use a smartphone, you can use Flow,” Dieujuste said. In keeping with DentiMax traditions, DentiMax Flow is also an inexpensive option when compared to leading brands on the market, thanks in part to its development by inhouse experts instead of a third party. The software is the culmination of years of hard work and listening to customers’ needs, Varney noted.

“With DentiMax Flow, we have created a solution that not only increases efficiency, but also enhances the patient experience. It’s a flexible, scalable platform that grows with practices, big or small, and makes the day-to-day operations of running a dental office easier,” he said.

High-Quality, Versatile Imaging Solutions

DentiMax has also expanded its intraoral sensor portfolio, ensuring there are options for every practice and patient. The Dream Sensor and Open Sensor provide the dental community with options that are among the most affordable and deliver exceptional image quality. The sensors are compatible with most imaging software and integrate seamlessly with a practice’s existing digital imaging system.

The flagship Dream Sensor provides extraordinary anatomical details with reduced noise and improved tissue contrast for accurate diagnoses. The active imaging area of around 900 mm2 allows the capture of more teeth, and the x-ray can be tailored to be sharper, smoother, lighter, or darker, ensuring you get the perfect image. At 5.2 mm thickness, the sensor is among the smallest on the market.

“Our sensor is much thinner, which helps with placing the sensor in the patient's mouth and helps with patient comfort,” said Chad Camac, VP of sales and support, DentiMax Imaging. “The dream sensor is a 20 line pair/mm sensor, which is the highest resolution available on the market and the same as other leading brands—yet those brands only have the baseline image. With ours, adjustments can be made to the image based on the doctor's preferences for the brightness, sharpness, and contrast of the image, so we can tailor the image to exactly what they're looking for.”

The new Open Sensor is a budget-friendly option that features a slightly lower resolution while producing high-quality diagnostic images comparable to or better than more expensive sensors. Like the Dream Sensor, it integrates with virtually every imaging software on the market.

The 4.5 mm sensor comes in 4 sizes: pediatric sizes 0 and 1, and adult sizes 1.5 and 2.
