CLOUD-BASED PRACTICE MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE OFFERS EFFICIENCY, FLEXIBILITY, AND PROTECTION

As a scratch start-up by recently graduated dentists, we had lofty goals and very little in the way of resources. We knew we wanted to avoid inefficiency in all respects. We couldn’t afford to waste time with technology hiccups or struggle with analyzing critical key progress indicators for measuring our practice growth. Dentrix Ascend has saved us time and money, but it has also spared us from the immeasurable disaster that would have accompanied a data breach with our health records when our network became compromised by a virus in an attachment. Fortunately, there was no sensitive or important data saved on the office machines—all of our data is stored securely on Dentrix Ascend servers.
While we haven’t had any additional security issues, Windows recently released an update platform that really threw things sideways on a couple of our computers. However, since our practice management software is available on any computer that has an internet connection, it is extremely easy for us to sub a computer in and out during the maintenance and updating of other computers. Our prior frustrations with hardware maintenance are kept to a minimum with a cloud-based practice management solution.
Dentrix Ascend gives us time back to focus on the growth and management of our practice. We don’t waste time on server backups and the inefficiencies of only being able to access practice information on-site. We regularly run reports and manage the practice remotely. Dr. Brennan is an owner and co-founding general dentist at Brennan Dental in Chandler, AZ. Dr. Brennan graduated summa cum laude from Arizona State University. He earned his Medical Degree from the University of Toledo College of Medicine. Dr. Brennan continued his studies at A.T. Still University, earning a Master of Public Health from the School of Health Management and a Doctor of Dental Medicine from the Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health.
J. Elliott Brennan, DMD
Dr. Brennan is an owner and co-founding general dentist at Brennan Dental in Chandler, AZ. Following his study of biochemistry at Arizona State University, Dr. Brennan earned a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health. Dr. Brennan is an instructor at the 3D Infusion Dental Training Center in the disciplines of CEREC Restore and Guided Implant Placement.
