“We went with the NOMAD Pro 2 primarily for the patients because they’re the ones who benefit the most, especially with how fast we can take a series of X-rays,” shared Dr. Gillespie. “We’re no longer going back and forth, in and out of the operatory, which takes up extra time. Another example is when we need to angle the cuff, we’re able to position it and hold it at the same time that we’re taking the image, which is much more time efficient. It’s also very beneficial for patients who tend to gag, because it’s such a fast process.”
NOMAD Pro 2 features an ergonomic design that includes a handle base for a more stable grip. The system is easily cradled so setting adjustments and changes in sensor position can be done with ease. Overall, Dr. Gillespie has received such a positive response from his staff and patients that he now plans to make the NOMAD Pro 2 the only 2D X-ray equipment in his practice.
“We are planning to move into a larger space where we will have 20 operatories and we’re not putting in any wall-mounted X-rays because we’re only going to use the NOMAD Pro 2—absolutely nobody prefers the old system!” he shared.
