On a mission to provide 'everything but the dentistry,' Patterson Dental is a true 1-stop shop for dental professionals—offering a robust and peer-approved portfolio of private-label products
“It has better torque than smaller handpieces,” noted Stuart Shaffren, DDS, adding, “It was excellent for crown prep where visibility was not compromised, and its 4 water ports were a big plus.”
The Best-Cutting Burs
Patterson’s Disposable Diamond Burs and Carbide Surgical Burs both received high marks from DPS evaluators for their efficiency and speed removing tooth structure and restorative materials, along with their durability.
“These diamonds work very well; they are smooth-cutting and efficient,” Dr. Lance Teramoto said of the Disposable Diamond Burs. The single-use diamond instruments are conveniently prepackaged for patient safety and easy selection across the available shapes, sizes, and grits. Dr. Krista Kappus added, “It was nice to have a fresh bur at the beginning of each procedure.”
“I like the ease of placement and improved chair time,” said Dr. Joel Preminger. Dr. David Buchina noted, “The crowns performed remarkably well with little need for repeated adjustments and try-ins.”
The competitively priced crowns are available in multiple sizes for all upper and lower primary molars, and are precrimped, prebelled, and prefestooned to minimize contouring and trimming.
Hands Up for Good Hygiene
Many DPS evaluators said that the TactileGuard Ultra Next Generation Gloves were flexible, had the right amount of thickness, and offered a snug fit. Hygienist Robin Mitchell shared, “The silky smoothness is great,” and Jody Ebert, RDH, told DPS, “The gloves were comfortable and didn’t cause sweating or reaction to my skin.”
The powder-free gloves are not made with natural rubber latex, and they feature textured fingertips to ensure excellent tactile sensitivity, even when hands are wet. They are available in 5 sizes—extra small, small, medium, large, and extra large. “I would use these gloves again and recommend them,” Dr. J. Brian Hamby noted.
