Q: What can you tell us about the origins of DentalXP and your initial goals?
A: DentalXP’s origins go back about 15 years, when my brothers, Drs. Maurice Salama and Henry Salama, realized that the dental community was in need of easily available online educational content from highly skilled doctors that could help dentists take their treatment to a higher level. Both of them being practitioners who are also highly sought-after lecturers and authors, they set out to create an online forum that would offer easy access to the world’s leading educators
Q: Is there a core fundamental value that DentalXP brings to its educational offerings?
A: DentalXP’s core fundamental value is being always inclusive. Our mission has been to provide an accessible platform for the highest levelof evidence-based science and clinical protocols, as well as clinicians and products, and to make that available to the global dental community without boundaries and without bias.
Q:How do you ensure that all of the educational content is of the highest quality?
A: An active and discerning scientific committee, chaired by Dr. Maurice Salama, evaluates and referees all of the content that is posted online. In addition, this same committee oversees the quality of all of our hands-on courses and live-patient programs. The committee is also tasked with creating the outstanding scientific programs for the live symposiums and summits that are organized annually at various venues.
Q: As the fastest-growing education website, has DentalXP impacted the way dentists learn and grow their skill sets?
A: DentalXP has structurally changed the way postgraduate continuing dental education is provided for the building of restorative and surgical skills. In many ways, DentalXP is structured as a 1-stop center for accessing quality online content and CE, hands-on training for new clinical protocols and products, as well as organizing world-class symposiums featuring well-recognized, leading clinicians and educators.
