The story of Henry Schein, the world’s largest provider of healthcare solutions, begins in 1932. After graduating from Columbia University’s College of Pharmacy in New York City, the company’s namesake, Henry Schein, borrowed $500 to open his own pharmacy in Queens.

As the industry evolved, Schein eventually expanded into dental supplies, a market that was growing quickly as new technology offered better, smarter, and ultimately more effective solutions to meet the challenges of the most common oral health problems.
