Astringedent X

Ultradent Products, Inc.

Ultradent’s Astringedent X, which is an aqueous 12.7% iron solution, contains equivalent ferric sulfate and ferric subsulfate with a pH of about 1.0. While it is not as kind to tissue as Ultradent’s other hemostatic agents, it is less acidic than other manufacturers’ iron subsulfate solutions. It is recommended for heavy capillary bleeding and is used with the Metal Dento-Infusor tip. Please note that diluting Astringedent X does not make it equal to ViscoStat or Astringedent.
