UltraCal XS, from Ultradent, is a calcium hydroxide paste (pH 12.5) that is formulated with an aqueous consistency and radiopaque properties that make it ideal as an endodontic treatment dressing. For two-appointment RCTs, UltraCal XS is delivered using Ultradent’s NaviTip tip precisely where it is needed in the root canal. Use Ultradent’s Citric Acid 20% when it’s time to remove UltraCal XS from the canal.
