A 38% silver diamine fluoride treatment that’s proven to eliminate patients oral pain, SilverSense SDF is an easy and effective interim solution leading up to an esthetic restoration
When used as an interim restorative procedure, SilverSense SDF can provide cost-effective pain relief and protection until the tooth can be restored.
How It Works
A powerful desensitizer, SilverSense SDF immediately eliminates hypersensitivity1,2 by occluding dentinal tubules and producing preferential fluorohydroxyapatite, which increases mineral density and hardness.3 The fluoride inhibits new biofilm formation, while silver helps destroy plaque film. Softened dentin is hardened and conditioned thanks to SilverSense SDF, which fosters remineralization, inhibits calcium dissolution from hydroxyapatite, and prevents the demineralization of enamel and dentin.4
The result? Dentin treated with SilverSense SDF will be twice as hard as healthy dentin.5
SilverSense SDF will darken only the lesion where it is placed. Tempit, Centrix’s moisture-activated temporary filling material, can be applied to mask any discoloration until the tooth is ready to be restored.
