As the owner of a stand-alone dental practice, Dr. Sheri Doniger likes supporting dental companies that have the same business model. That’s what first attracted Dr. Doniger to BISCO decades ago, but it’s the consistency and commitment to science and research that has kept her loyal.

That commitment is unwavering, with the BISCO scientists behind the innovations constantly pushing to make improvements and deliver the best products possible. After all these years in business, BISCO still believes in moving forward, Dr. Doniger said, while many other dental companies are content to sit with their current products and never really evolve. The BISCO team’s dedication to excellence shines through in products supported by continuous research, testing, and validation.

Materials like All-Bond Universal and TheraCem have passed Dr. Doniger’s personal research and validation tests, she said, working well in her hands and providing patients with predicable results. She never has to worry if the materials will work, or if she’ll get calls from patients in the middle of the night dealing with postop sensitivity or a failed restoration. The science-backed materials always do their jobs, giving her peace of mind.

“I haven’t had a product from BISCO that’s failed me in any way,” she said. “I don’t want to come into my office in the morning and wonder if the adhesive is going to work the right way or if the crown is going to come flying off in 6 weeks. If that happens, the patient blames me. They don’t understand the science behind bonding or how inconsistent product chemistry can cause failures. I don’t worry about that with BISCO materials.”

Consistency Matters

Many BISCO scientists have been involved with the products they developed from the ground up, Dr. Doniger said. In fact, chemist and founder, Dr. Byoung Suh, has remained involved with day to day research after more than 40 years. That’s a testament to the BISCO culture and the team’s commitment to excellence.

“They don’t have a lot of movement with their people,” she said, “and that speaks volumes to the scientists’ dedication to the research they’re putting out.”

Research at Your Fingertips

If Dr. Doniger wants access to any BISCO research, all she has to do is contact the company, she said. The data is readily available, with the team happy to send links to studies or anything else she might need. A lot of information can be found on the website, but the knowledgeable team is always ready to answer questions over the phone.

“The team is very responsive,” Dr. Doniger said, noting they also encourage clinician feedback. “They want their products to be successful in the doctors’ hands. They don’t want their products to fail because dentists didn’t read the instructions for use, or because they used the wrong product.”

Easy access to the science instills trust in BISCO, making it easy to accept the materials will work as advertised, said Dr. Ed Suh, who uses All-Bond Universal. They’re willing to be questioned about their products and to be challenged, and “that’s huge.”

Making Education a Priority

Dr. Suh appreciates BISCO’s dedication to educating dental professionals about not just their products, but dental materials in general.

“The amount of time they spent with me early on just for me to understand the science behind their materials really set them apart,” he said. “There was no guarantee I was going to use the BISCO products, but they still spent a lot of 1-on-1 time with me.”

Materials You Can Trust

BISCO sells directly to the dentist, and always has, so Dr. Doniger doesn’t have to worry about the company being bought out by a conglomerate or an equity firm solely focused on profit. Many other dental companies have, but BISCO remains a research-driven, stand-alone operation that’s committed to science and product innovation.

“You just know their research is spot on,” she said. “The trust factor has always been there, and you need to trust your dental materials. I just like the innovation at BISCO and think they are top-notch.”
