Everywhere you look, the dental marketplace is brimming with scanners. Especially in the last few years, many practices have taken the quantum leap from traditional “gooey” impression materials to an updated digital workflow, discovering firsthand how it offers them more precise impressions, increased patient confidence in diagnoses, and a boost in treatment acceptance. With workflows varying widely from practice to practice, and budgets that similarly run the gamut—it can be a challenge for dentists to find a model that will meet the unique needs of their practice and have the greatest positive impact on their workflow. 3Shape makes it easy with its family TRIOS scanners, each one tailor-made to fit the unique needs of every practice.

Next-Level Scan Technology

TRIOS 5 features a series of often-requested “bells and whistles” typically found in high-end equipment. With a sleek, pen-grip design, the scanner is effortlessly balanced in the hand and offers clinicians a smooth, ergonomic scanning experience. 3Shape’s smallest and lightest scanner to date, TRIOS 5 features a simple, easy-to-use, 2-button operation perfectly designed for hectic workflows. It’s also wireless, with a battery life that can easily scan up to 33 patients, all on a single charge. The scanner includes a helpful haptic feedback feature that guides dentists as they scan. Scans are stored on the cloud, allowing clinicians access to cases anywhere and from any device.

Featuring an all-new ScanAssist engine that uses intelligent-alignment technology to ensure precise scanning, TRIOS 5 also sets a new standard for hygienic patient protection, thanks to a closed autoclavable scan tip and mirror, virtually no openings or crevices, and ultrathin, snug, and nearly invisible sleeves designed for single-patient use.

The Ultimate Scanning Experience

TRIOS 5 features Smile Design, which enables dentists to design patients’ potential new smiles right before their eyes. Also included is a Treatment Simulator, which includes engagement apps and shows patients simulated corrections on-screen.

Dentists also can elect an additional subscription that includes new design software: Implant Studio allows clinicians to plan, design, and print custom surgical guides and temporary screw-retained crowns; Design Studio enables dentists to design and fabricate same-day restorations with AI assistance; and Splint Studio lets them design and produce occlusal splints in a guided workflow.*
