Polishers add the finishing touches. Think of cars, furniture, fingernails—and, yes, teeth! Polishing simply makes everything more visually appealing and esthetic. It’s the same principle in dentistry, restoratively speaking. And for the proof of that, just take a peek into the operatories of hundreds of dental practices, where every day, dentists carefully polish their patients’ teeth, turning those restorations into esthetic smiles.

A Fast, Easy Polishing Solution

Microcopy’s NeoShine line of polishers is a single-patient-use, 2-step, sterile polishing system that includes both cups and points. The sterile polishers smooth and polish and are designed in a miniature size, a feature that offers an ideal fit into pits, fissures, and all tooth anatomy, including those hard-to-reach areas. As an added boost toward workflow efficiency, the polishing system helpfully uses a color-coded ID system to organize the polishers by materials and steps.

Like many dentists, Peter Dantini, DDS, in Stamford, CT, prizes easy, straightforward solutions. “Inherently, I’m always looking for the simplest way to accomplish a task,” he explained. “If I can find something that will work for me in 1 or 2 steps, I’m a very happy person. NeoShine has replaced multiple polishing systems that I own—the product is that good,” he added.

Smooth, Mirror-Like Finish

When it comes to polishing in the anterior, the single-patient-use NeoShine Discs offer flexibility to polish the curves of anterior surfaces. Available in 4 grits—very coarse, coarse, medium, and fine—they provide a smooth, high-gloss polish and mirror-like finish on composite and porcelain. Since one side is abrasive, NeoShine Discs also can polish interproximally.

The NeoShine disc system features a unique snap-on single-use disc that uses a reusable mandrel for an efficient, hassle-free polishing experience. Discs are available in 2 sizes—10 mm and 14 mm—and the system is offered in packages of 100 discs and 1 mandrel. Mandrel refills are also available for purchase.
