Along with its stackable counterpart, CORE-FLO DC, it offers a high compressive strength for a stable foundation, a high flexural strength for more resistance to deformation, and a high bond strength to dentin, which can lower the chance of dislodgement.

Dentin-Like Characteristics
CORE-FLO DC Lite is a low viscosity, dual-cured core buildup material that is delivered with an automix dual syringe and does not require a dispenser. Its self-leveling viscosity provides gap-free margins when replacing dentition with a direct core buildup and provides superior handling characteristics when building up the core.
The material cuts similarly to dentin and is easy to prepare. With a high shear bond strength to dentin and fiber posts, CORE-FLO DC Lite offers high compressive and flexural strengths, providing superior durability when fabricating direct restorations. CORE-FLO DC Lite is available in Natural/A1 and Opaque White shades for highly esthetic results.
“The best feature is when I’m shaping it, because it feels like dentin,” Dr. Leung shared. “Other products are too soft and cut away too quickly, requiring me to rebuild the core again. Hence, CORE-FLO DC Lite offers greater time savings and is more efficient to use.”

Void-Free Flow
Along with low-shrinkage properties, which allow it to be used effectively as a dentin replacement material, CORE-FLO DC Lite has a low film thickness and a void-free flow, both properties that make it ideal for post cementation. Additionally, the product is highly radiopaque and offers a room temperature working time of 1 minute, with a set time of up to 7 minutes.
“I find CORE-FLO DC Lite to be efficient, dentin-like, easy to use, and firm,” Dr. Leung said.
Cement & Build Up
CORE-FLO DC displays similar characteristics to CORE-FLO DC Lite but is dispensed with an automix dual-syringe dispenser. Dual-cured and with low shrinkage properties, CORE-FLO DC is also well-suited as a dentin replacement material and its flowability and adaptation make it ideal as a post cement. Clinicians will find superior handling and stackability without dripping or slumping. For added workflow simplification, clinicians can cement the post and build up the core with just one application.
Highly radiopaque and available in Natural/A1 and Opaque White shades for optimal esthetics, CORE-FLO DC provides a void-free flow when cementing the post, with the core allowing for a homogenous bond to substrates. Along with a working time of 2 minutes and a setting time of 7 minutes, the dual-cure chemistry allows CORE-FLO DC to cure well in either light-cure or self-cure modes.
