Contact Time vs. Dry Time Test
The amount of time that a disinfectant stays wet on a surface is crucial. But, the contact or kill time for each cleaner is different. Oxivir 1 needs to stay wet on a surface for an entire minute in order to be effective. With Oxivir 1’s superior formula, this is the case.
In a test done by Dentsply Sirona between Oxivir 1 Wipes and disin-fectant wipes from another brand, Oxivir 1 emerged as the clear winner. Though both wipes stayed wet on the test surface for 1 minute, the other brand of wipes had a 3-minute contact time, which means that it dried on the surface too quickly to be effective.
