Has your practice gone digital yet? While that question was frequently asked more than a decade ago, most dental practices have now embraced digital technology and have incorporated digital x-rays into their workflows. Gone are the days of developing film, long processing times, and time-consuming retakes.

But, despite the advantages over traditional film, digital radiography still has its challenges, with accurate sensor positioning and patient comfort topping the list. With a vast array of dental imaging solutions that work hand in hand with digital sensors, Flow Dental is committed to solving those challenges.

The Sensible Way to X-ray

For proper sensor positioning, clinicians appreciate the versatility and efficiency of the Sensibles Universal  Sensor Holder. Compatible with any size sensor and adjustable for anterior, posterior, and bitewing x-rays, it requires only 1 bite block for a full-mouth series.

Explaining that “sensor positioners are often bulky and costly” and that using multiple bite blocks is very time-consuming, Dr. Tiffany Lee called Sensibles “a nice all-in-one unit.” She praised the unique locking bumpers and “likes the audible and tactile clicking to ensure they are fully engaged and secured.”

Endo Sensibles

Endo Sensibles is a sensor holder made specifically for capturing digital images during endo treatment. Fully adjustable to several heights, Endo Sensibles features a bite block with an open window that allows clinicians to work around instruments that must remain in the canal during the imaging process. An adjustable ratcheting gripper allows it to hold any size sensor firmly in place.

A Snug Sensor Sleeve

Designed to fit snugly on any sensor, Snuggies (for regular size sensors) and Snuggies 2.0 (for larger sensors) are custom-fit sensor sleeves that protect sensors while making patients more comfortable.

Simple to apply with a “peel, stick, and go” design, the tight-fitting plastic sleeve helps keep sensors from shifting out of position and keeps loose plastic away from patients. “I like how bulk is eliminated for patients who gag easily or have a small mouth,” shared Indiana hygienist Amber Metro-Sanchez.
